Last weekend was pure bliss. We didn't travel anywhere new, or do anything out of the ordinary. But we did spend lots of good time with our friends in Seoul, and it was so refreshing. On Saturday, Tim and the guys played basketball, pool, and went to the batting cages. It was really great for him to have "sporty" guy time. :) While the guys were out, I went shopping with the girls at the newly opened H&M clothing store! It was packed full of people, and we had to wait in line to even get inside! Then, of course, we had to wait in lines to get in the fitting room, and to check out. It was crazy, but we did manage to conquer the crowds and find some cute clothes! After the girl/guy time, our whole group of friends met up at our Korean friend's coffee shop! It was a great atmosphere, and we had a huge table of all of our friends. We ordered food, but then our friend kept bringing out more and more food for free! In Korea, they call that "service." So we got "service" waffles and ice cream, honey bread, chips, and quesadillas! It was amazing! We had so much fun, and had great conversations. The whole night was one of those times where you just need to sit back and soak it all in.
The next day was church and lunch with our friends. Then that night, I met up with another group of girls for dinner. One of my friends who lives right now the road from us invited me to dinner with her and some of her friends. It's always so wonderful to meet new people and share experiences. Especially because here, we already have such a big thing in common: we're teaching in Korea! So we went out to dinner, and then to a coffee shop for dessert. It was another really fulfilling and refreshing time.
The whole weekend reminded Tim and me how thankful we are for this time in our lives. We are trying to live life to the fullest, whether we are traveling somewhere new, spending time with our friends, meeting new people, or hanging out just the two of us. We were laughing about the fact that last weekend was probably the most time that we have spent apart since being here in Korea! And it wasn't even that much! Being here lends itself to lots of time together, which we love! Even our classrooms at school are right next to each other, so we can hear each other teaching throughout the day. Thankfully we like each other! :) We are still seeking direction for what to do/where to go in the future, although it seems to be getting clearer every day. But for right now, we feel that we are exactly where we're supposed to be.
